Prakash V. Desai, M.D.


Dr. Desai is a native of India and began practicing in Cobb County in 1977. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and is Board Certified.
He completed his residency at Children’s Hospital in Boston, which is affiliated with Harvard Medical School. He is married to a physician and they have one son. Dr. Desai and his wife reside in Cobb County.







Faye E. Spector, M.D.


Dr. Spector is a native of Maryland and has been a pediatrician with Cobb Pediatric Associates since 1982. She received her medical degree from New York Medical College and performed her residency at Grady Memorial and Egleston Hospitals, affiliated with Emory University. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and is Board Certified. She and her husband have three children and make their home in Cobb County.







Denise J. Nakos, M.D.


Dr. Nakos was born in Birmingham, Alabama, and has been with Cobb Pediatric Associates since 1996. She received her medical degree from University of Alabama at Birmingham and performed her residency at the University of California, San Diego Medical Center. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and is Board Certified. She is married and she and her husband have three children. They also make their home in Cobb County.







Beatrice U. Wilder, M.D.


Dr. Wilder is a native of Nuremberg, Germany, and has been associated with Cobb Pediatric Associates since 1997. She received her medical degree in 1990 from University of Erlangen in Nuremberg. Dr. Wilder’s residency was at Emory University and its affiliated hospitals, Grady and Egleston. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and is Board Certified. She and her husband live in Cobb County with their four children.







Christopher C. Richards, M.D.


Dr. Richards is a native of Chesapeake, Virginia, and has been a pediatrician with Cobb Pediatric Associates since 2003. Prior to obtaining his medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School, in Norfolk, Virginia, he received a Bachelor of Industrial Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and is Board Certified. Dr. Richards is very much the sports enthusiast and makes his home in Atlanta.






Noureen N. Husain, M.D.


Dr. Husain was born and raised in Bangladesh and joined Cobb Pediatric Associates in 2003. Prior to coming on board, she worked as Assistant Professor in Clinical Pediatrics at University of Illinois at Peoria. She received her medical degree from Dhaka Medical College, Dhaka, Bangladesh in 1988. She completed residency in Pediatrics at the University Of Illinois at Chicago. Dr. Husain is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and is Board Certified. She is married to a physician and they live in Cobb County with their two children.







Laurie Bivins, C.P.N.P.


Ms. Bivins is from Oklahoma and received her nursing degree from the University of Oklahoma in 1983. In 1985, she obtained a Master of Science of Nursing from University of Texas at Galveston. She is certified by the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Associates and Practitiioners. Laurie has been with Cobb Pediatric Associates since 1994. She is married and she and her husband reside in Cobb County.








Delisha Taylor, C.P.N.P.


The newest member of Cobb Pediatric Associates’ professional team, Delisha was born and raised in Wrightsville, Georgia, and joined us in 2006. She received her nursing degree from Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville, Georgia in 1999, and obtained a Master of Science from Georgia State University. She is certified by the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Associates and Practitioners. Delisha and her husband have one child and reside in Douglas County.
